Hello! Nice to have you stop by….have a seat and stay a while.

I’m Sarah. Sarah Jane. My childhood name suits me just fine these days as I have created a shop and blog featuring my artwork and designs: Sarah Jane….Illustrating Childhood. I am an artist and mother of 3 young children, and love to create designs that remind us all of the charming life of childhood.

My shop was created in an effort to create art I wasn’t seeing in the comeback of vintage inspired design: Art and paper products for children which reflected the vintage storybook feel, but with fresh color and modern design. Sarah Jane Studios was born October 2007, and has grown from a one-woman opperation in my bedroom, to a 4 person operation with retailers worldwide. I currently sell my children’s wall art and paper goods directly through my ETSY shop.

I also have a career in illustrating children’s books, and have illustrated the book FULL OF LIFE (by Nancy O’Dell of Access Hollywood, Published by Simon and Schuester) and am currently illustrating the children’s picture book CHRISTMAS GOODNIGHT written by Laura Godwin, Published with Katherine Tegan books, and imprint of Harper Collins, which will be release Fall 2011. I absolutely love the world of publishing, and hope to illustrate many more books in the future.

My blog is a place for me to document the goings on of a wife and mother of 3 and illustrator, as well a to offer you new inspiration, free downloads and information with anything that has to do with the mix of children, design, books, illustration, craft, making, creative living and motherhood. My life is where all these meet…and it’s pretty wonderful. I am truly blessed!
