Happy Site Friday

ella 8 months

Happy Friday all!

This is my effort to bring back Happy Site Friday. It’s been a while.

My weekend is filled with filling tall trash cans with stuff that I don’t want to move, and cleaning out storage bins in the basement. Oh, and do some laundry…maybe. We are moving in a week!

This is my list of distractions when the boredom is just too much:

* This girl’s room was featured a while back here and I am in love.  Her blog is amazing and check it out here.

* Listening to this song is sunshine to my soul right now: I am transformed to a dancing fool.

* Loving this rocker and wishing it fit in the budget right now

This article on getting back to the orderly way with kids. It will happen someday…I just know it.

* This art piece. I had an imaginary friend, did you?

* This print makes me miss living back East. And her art gives me warm happy chills…have you read her books?

* Tell me you aren’t transformed when you see this. I can’t wait for summer.

Happy Friday everyone! My weekend is filled with filling tall trash cans with stuff that I don’t want to move, and cleaning out storage to get ready for the move.

What’s making you smile this weekend?

  • Oh my goodness. Your daughter is completely adorable!

Today, homemade chicken noodle soup, homemade granola bars, a good book, and my own adorable baby girl are all making me smile. :)

  • I love Daryl Hool! I went to her class at BYU Education week. I’m glad you brought back “Happy Site Friday”. good finds!

  • Robyn:

Finally cleaning my house after two crazy work weeks, having friends over for a pie (Pi) night and laughing with my husband are all making me smile today.

(sorry I couldn’t help with the kids this morning, I hope it is going well, and still plan on me for next weekend)

    WHAT A BEAUTIFUL LITTLE GIRL!!!!!!!!

  • I love this picture of your little sweetie! What kind of camera do you use? You always have such warm buttery light going on in your pics, just beautiful, and oh so happy. I really enjoy reading your blog, and I just wanted to stop in to say once again, that I love all that you do, and I am so excited for your new home and the forthcoming makeovers in all the rooms! I am gearing up to buy the le ballon print here soon, I have a print and some other things from you already, but I have had my eye on that one for a while. I am in love with it!

  • Oh thanks….I have to admit it is really easy to take pictures of her…she is really that cute. But my camera, really isn’t anything too fancy: it’s a PENDAX 1stD (I don’t think they make the model any more) but it’s really the lens that does the job: a 50 mm f1.4 I have really loved it. And every once in while I’ll photoshop them with actions by Sheye Rosemeyer. You can get them here: http://www.sheyerosemeyerphotography.com/blog/eye-candy/
    and her blog here: http://www.sheyerosemeyerphotography.com/blog/
    Thanks!

  • Thank you so much for sharing the info Sarah!

  • Jaime:
